These Shining Lives is the second student directed show of the year in the Hall Blackbox, directed by seniors Emma Hines and Rachel Silver.
Written by Melanie Marnich, These Shining Lives tells the story of four female watch painters at the Radium Dial watch company in Ottowa, Illinois. After spending nine years painting watches from 1922 to 1931, they delve into a legal battle against Radium Dial while battling life-threatening ailments attained from their exposure to radium.
A moving story showing the true strength of friendship in troublesome times, These Shining Lives is a beautiful story with a powerful message.
