  • College admissions trends

  • Testing – SAT, ACT & Advanced Placement (AP)

  • Naviance

  • Overview of the planning program

  • Timeline of events

  • Resources available on www.hall.whps.org

Our school counseling program includes an extensive Junior Planning Series which begins during the 3rd quarter and takes place during the school day.  This series is designed to provide students with the information and resources they need to navigate the post high school planning process.  Our goal is to help them develop, research and evaluate post high school options that are right for them. Junior workshop topics include, but are not limited to: resume building, interview skills, college testing (SAT/ACT), and the Common Application.

It's not too early to start planning as both graduation and life after high school are right around the corner.  Our past experience indicates that timely and thoughtful conversations lead to the best post high school outcomes, so parent/guardian and student attendance at this program is highly recommended.  We look forward to seeing you both at our Junior Planning Program.  For those unable to attend, information from the event will be posted on the school counseling website following the presentation.

Sincerely,

Lori Foote-Mitchell

School Counseling Department Supervisor
